Cabinet announces five percent hike in DA for Central Government employees and pensioners; also approves relaxation till 30th Nov for mandatory requirement of Aadhar-seeded data for beneficiaries of PM-kisan scheme.
Good news ahead of Diwali for cental government employees and pensioners. The Union Cabinet also approved to release an additional instalment of Dearness Allowance to Central Government employees and Dearness Relief to pensioners with effect from 01.07.2019 representing an increase of 5% over the existing with accepted formula, which is based on the recommendations of the 7th Central Pay Commision.
Decisions have also been taken for the welfare of the farmers. The Union Cabinet has approved the relaxation of the mandatory requirement of Aadhaar seeded data as a pre-condition for release of funds to the beneficiary under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Scheme. The scheme provides income support of Rs 6,000 per year to landholding families subject to certain exclusions. The amount is released in 3-4 monthy instalments of Rs 2,000 each directly to the bank accounts of the beneficiaries through DBT mode.
